Jen Shannon is a Software Developer, Technologist, and Educator who has been experimenting with code and hardware for over a decade in both professional and academic settings. Her work has been shown in The Atlantic, Vox, Core77, Treehugger, Waste360, EarthTechling, and other publications. She has led classes on Full Stack Web Development with Node/Express and Rails, iOS Development, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Processing (Java), as well as led workshops and given talks on Data Visualization, Physical Computing, and Fabrication Technologies.

Jen holds a BS in Physics from Columbia University, where she researched MATLAB, C, and Computer Vision in a Physics Lab, and a Masters in Interactive Technology from NYU, where, as a Departmental Fellow, she experimented with Web Technologies, Physical Computing, Data Visualization, Sensor Integration, and Computer Vision.
